If you follow the work that producing company BOSSA FM does in Berlin you definitely know that we try our best to propose events where family can be engaged. If you don’t it’s such a good opportunity to experience Psicotrópicos Festival with your family.
Like our monthly project “Roda de Feijoada” the kids will have a program from the time we open doors, at 12h00, until 21h00 with different contents.
Important to mention: spontaneous donations are truly welcome.

Let is already a well known face to the kids in our events. She is the main person and curator behind what we are offering in Kids Area of Psicotrópicos Festival.
From 12 noon to the end she will be there with the Kids proposing activities such as games, paintings etc.

VENESSA JÚPITER - DRAG QUEEN / 12h - 18h
Vanessa Júpiter preaches one should always try and think more with the heart, feel more with the brain, until at some point we are both thinking and feeling with our entire bodies. Everything is about Love, and you might not realize you've been touched until you start crying.
"Drag Queens Reading For Kids" is a type of event that's been growing in the USA since 2017.
Vanessa Júpiter, legendary Brazilian drag performer, brings this new drag tradition to the Brazilian community in Berlin.
A drag queen reading Children's Literature is an activity with great potential because it shows kids that there's nothing wrong with being queer, and it presents the LGBT+ world to a young audience in an age-appropriate manner.

NINA BRACHMANN - MOSAIC WORKSHOP / 14H - 16H
Have you considered creating your own lucky charm or making a unique mosaic gift?
Mosaic is all about putting little bits together to create a bigger picture, so what could be better than using materials that are already broken? We are going to use shattered dishes and old tiles and revive them as beautiful mosaic artworks.
Select your favorite pieces from the colourful treasure box and find your personal design. Nina from MosiMosa will show you step by step how to create your own little masterpiece. Your mosaic will look magical - as it always does :)
Since a travel to Brazil, where she created her first mosaic, Nina has been fascinated by this unique craft. In 4 years of self-study she made numerous decorations for public and private walls as well as countless smaller objects like mirrors or picture frames. The artist has been connected with doing pottery ever since her childhood. It´s her pleasure to see beautiful ceramics, porcelain and glazes and - obviously - combine the prettiest sherds for mosaics. Sustainability is crucial to her, so for her workshops she uses old and broken materials only. Nina loves to share her knowledge and doing mosaic is most fun in a group anyways.

HELENA MANCELOS - PLAY: DAS KLEINE MÄDCHEN AUS DEM MEER (IN GERMAN) / TIME TO BE ANNOUNCED
The play presents a reinterpretation of Sophia de Mello Breyner's work “A menina do Mar”. “The girl from the see” is a classic of Portuguese children's literature that was recently translated into German. It speaks in a very beautiful and light way of a friendship between a little girl from the sea and a boy from the land. It is a synesthetic work where images and the sea, the blue, the fish, the jellyfish appear with enormous purity, beauty, as if things were dancing in our eyes.
The words were chosen carefully offering a poetic sense and beauty indescribable. They pack you in the fantastic and mysterious world of the sea.
All these characteristics are translated into a work in which the image, the sound, the movement and the Theater interact. Projections of the sea, animals, characters interact with the actors and create a dialogue of enormous beauty, fun and poetry.
With this, we intend to make children “look at things as if it were the first time”, quoting the author, Sophia de Mello Breyner.
MARTA DI ROCO - LECTURE: CONTO DE IEMANJÁ, A RAINHA DO MAR (IN GERMAN) / 15H - 15H30
This book tells the story of Iemanjá, goddess of the sea, and her adventures on land. It is a picture book, written in Portuguese and German, suitable for children (between 4 and 10 years) and for adults too!
