OPEN CALL
Psicotrópicos Festival is an annual, interdisciplinary and plural event. It addresses relevant and urgent current issues related to Brazilian culture and society. Organised and realised by BOSSA FM and its network of supporters in Berlin, the festival is a platform for Brazilian artists to showcase their artwork across disciplines.
For this 2020 edition, from March 19th to 22nd, between music and performance programming, we created “OPEN ACT” - a space for Brazilian artists to promote their work - through performances, pitchs*, lectures, artistic actions or the format that is most convenient for each artist (*pitch is a performance designed to pique public interest in your project. It should contain only essential and differentiated information).
We invite musicians, actors, dancers, performers, directors, filmmakers, photographers and visual artists who wish to participate in OPEN ACT to submit their 5-15 minute artistic and cultural proposals to compose OPEN ACT programming by 23:59 on 10.01 .2020 via email: psicotropicos@bossafm.com
OPEN ACT will take place on Sunday, 22.03.2020, from 13:00 - 21:00 at Festsaal Kreuzberg as part of the Psychotropic Festival 2020.
This is a collaborative proposal with no financial consideration involved.
INFRASTRUCTURE
The venue will feature a microphone, sound and projection equipment for presentations. Between each act there will be a 5 to 10 min interval for assembly and disassembly.
HOW TO SUBSCRIBE
Email: The material must be sent by email up to 15MB.
Required: Group or artist name, contact phone, email, presentation title, duration, age rating, project summary (up to 500 words).
Optional: portfolio, resume, photos, video links, and other materials that may enrich the appreciation of the proposal.
ATTENTION
The participation of the artists selected for the Open Act will be voluntary and without financial compensation.
