MIXTAPE: Miller Cruz (Germany)
The new mixtape comes directly from the city of Augsburg, in Germany. DJ and Percussionist Miller Cruz has grew up in New York City and is inspired for such diverse influences such as Azymuth, Pink Floyd, Jorge Ben Jor, Taj Mahal, Bob Marley, Miles Davis and more.
Originally from Minas Gerais, in the heart of Brazil, DJ/ Percussionist Miller Cruz grew up in NYC. Inspired by such diverse influences brings an unique Brazilian approach to house music.
A true son of the Tropicalista movement that swept Brazil in the 60s and 70s, Miller reaches across cultures, eras and genres to create a sound that is both forward thinking in reach, but loyal to its historical roots.
He says, “My goal has always been to create a fusion of new Brazilian sounds with house, drum n bass, deep house, Latin, classics and more. I go everywhere with the styles, that’s what makes me different and unique."
DJ Miller Cruz is one of the founders of the ALMA (All for the Love of Music & Art) Parties, a Brazilian Electronic Party that took NYC by storm.
