Jota.pê has rapidly risen in the Brazilian music scene, surpassing 2.5 million Spotify streams just a month after releasing his second album Se Meu Peito Fosse o Mundo in March 2024, featuring collaborations with Xênia França and Gilsons. Produced in partnership with Som Livre, the album earned three Latin Grammy nominations and accolades, including Best Afro-Brazilian Music Album and Best Portuguese Language Song for "Ouro Marrom," while also securing four Multishow 2024 Award nominations. Known for his blend of MPB, manguebeat, and influences like Jorge Ben and Caetano Veloso, Jota.pê debuted in 2015 and gained national recognition after his standout appearance on The Voice Brasil. He has since toured Europe three times and also performs with Bruna Black in the duo ÀVUÀ, which was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2021 and featured on ColorsxStudios.
